Who Is Eligible to be Accredited by American Society for Lean Six Sigma?
ASLSS accepts requests for an accreditation evaluation from Lean Six Sigma training providers such as: organizations, educational institutions, individual Master Black Belt (MBB). ASLSS has identified a set of core competencies and guidelines that are required of LSS providers. These core competencies are used as the basis for assessing the LSS providers’ potential performance. The ASLSS accreditation is granted once the eligible companies are assessed and comply with the ASLSS minimum core competencies. All LSS providers requesting accreditation will be reviewed against ASLSS existing accreditation criteria. No changes or exception will be made to these criteria to accommodate extenuating circumstances.
Accreditation Eligibility
The eligibility evaluation outcome is either “accredited” or “needs improvement”.
If an organization or program is unable to demonstrate substantial compliance with at least minimal accreditation requirements, it will be categorized with the “needs improvements” status. In the “needs improvement” case, a list of improvements needed will be provided.
If your program or organization is eligible for ASLSS accreditation, a welcome email and the accreditation will be sent to you or your organization.
The ASLSS will not accredit any programs or organizations that do not align with the American Society for Lean Six Sigma guidelines and core competencies. The ASLSS’s accreditation statement may not be used until the accreditation has been approved by the ASLSS.
Criteria for Maintenance of Accreditation
The initial accreditation is granted for two years. The program or organization may apply for maintenance of accreditation if it is within three months of expiration of their current accreditation status or if any major changes have been made to the program or organization that require an updated review of the ASLSS accreditation.
